Program Partners
The Need
There are environmental injustices that are impeding the health and well-being of the community-at-large in Prince George’s County and the DC Metro area. Research shows an increase in health disparities, health affliction, and depreciating resident wellness.
The Impact
The EJ initiatives are underway and so far there has been a positive impact. An increasing number of volunteers are supporting efforts to beautify the RTAME campus and surrounding areas, while other projects are underway.

The Environmental Justice initiative was launched in Jan. 2023

Gallon trees planted
EJ applied, was approved, and received a free land assessment through the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, who then planted 7-10 gallon trees throughout RTAME campus.
